Changes in the VARK Learning Style from the First to the Second Preclinical Year of Medical Students: A Follow-up Cross-sectional Questionnaire Study in a Thai Medical School

Objective: This study aimed to determine percentage of students who changed (change group) and did not change (no-change in the visual (V)–aural (A)–reading/writing (R)–kinesthetic (K) learning style from first (Preclinic1) second (Preclinic2) preclinical year; compare academic performance (GPA, percentile GPA, achievement targets) stress levels between these groups.
 Materials Methods: The VARK research questionnaires were sent 2019 class at end Preclinic1 again Preclinic2. GPA obtained records while targets questionnaires.
 Results: Most multimodal learners (65.03% 69.51% Preclinic2). From Preclinic2, 69.3% 30.7% their preference. In higher no-change compared with group (p<0.01 all). was lower Preclinic2 than that (p<0.001). Achievement theirs those (p<0.05 preference might need adapt new probably leading capability but less stress.
 Conclusion: Students around 70% exhibited stress.
